Winter in the Garden

This garden of white makes a pristine backdrop to barren branches, evergreens and dried hydrangea.  It's my contribution to the Mosaic Monday meme over at Dear Little Red House.  Thank you Mary for hosting.

I see that the deer ate some of the rose bush and hydrangea...will have to see what comes back next year..I can't really begrudge them at it is a rotten time of year and I am a sap......Michelle

I wish we had stayed in Canada. I do miss a good hard winter followed by a spectacular spring. The only thin I don't miss is the black flies and mozzies.

EG Wow, we haven't actually seen the sun for over a week now. Since last weekend we have received 99cm of snow. Today is snowing but tomorrow SUN!! More snow forecasted for Thursday and Friday but at least it will be warmer in the single negative digits compared to -18 as a high today.

Ajija, you really miss the cold harsh winters? You are a brave woman!

Michelle, I think I would feel as you do regarding the deer. Trees and shrubs will likely recover and those beautiful doe-eyed creatures will have sufficient for their diet. I can't begrudge them that either.

Your snow photos are lovely. I enjoy winter, but by the end of January I'm ready for spring.

Here's hoping the deep freeze ends soon.

Very pretty mosaic - the snow is lovely to look at, just wish it stayed for a shorter time!

I think that hydrangea is just the best blossom - it gives pleasure in every season.
