In honour of the homeowner's mother, Maisie, this Christmas attraction has been named Maisie's Magical Christmas House. Maisie enjoyed Christmas lights so her son has taken to task lighting his yard every year for Christmas. It is quite the feat with entire rooms within the home, visible from outdoors, decorated in winter finery. Incredible scenes are created, such as a village, for the visitor to enjoy.
Out in the yard, every tree is lit and the grounds are adorned with lit horse-drawn sleigh, snowmen, reindeer, etc. all lit up to entice the visitor to venture in and stay awhile. There is no admission fee but donations are accepted and appreciated for the Edmonton Food Bank.
Peaking in windows reveals scenes such as this one below.
Above is a video found on Maisie's Christmas House and available on YouTube. Also on YouTube one can find several good home videos of recent visits to this magical Christmas house. It has become tradition for many to visit Maisie's at least once during the season.
Joining Mosaic Monday, a tad late mind you. http://dearlittleredhouse.blogspot.com/
