Botanic Garden Tour: Greenland Garden Centre in Sherwood Park

I decided this post was going to be more photos and few words.  I had the opportunity to walk through the botanic gardens at Greenland Garden Centre in Sherwood Park recently and was impressed to see how it has developed over the last few years.  One portion of the garden is dedicated to a small vegetable bed including peas on ornamental wrought iron trellis/stakes, corn, swiss chard and so much more.  Come along with me and enjoy......

I would spend a whole day there and not want to leave. Were the birds chirping, Shirley? There's an open-space concept there that is appealing.

The shadows near that little pool are especially soothing!

SHADOW DANCE

Shadows here and shadows there,
Shadows, shadows everywhere!
Shadows left and shadows right;
Shadows dancing through the night!
Shadows crouching on the wall;
Shadows spring and shadows fall
On the unsuspecting guest,
Who thought shadows offered rest!

That's a spectacular garden centre proving that there are tons of plants you can plant in an Edmonton garden. :)

Beautiful pictures. Looks like a nice place for a walk and to see and capture some great photos. I like the little bridge in some of the shots and the wide array of flowers, plants and trees is just awesome.
Thanks for sharing!

Shirley said...

Thanks for the comments everyone! Yes the birds were chirping and one could hear the water as it recyced through the pump house. Michelle, the two in the photo are my son and daughter.
