Muttart Conservatory "Snowflakes are Falling" Feature

November 21, 2015 - January 3, 2016 The feature pyramid of Muttart Conservatory portrayed a vision of Christmas with a sleigh of polar bears, a giant nutcracker and a large child's rocking horse nestled in hundreds of poinsettias. The glass ceiling hung with stars and snowflakes, large and glittery.  This pyramid feature "Snowflakes are Falling" appeals to young and old alike.

Monday, December 28/15 my son, daughter-in-law and grandson visited Muttart Conservatory.  The feature pyramid is the perfect location to take those precious family photos.  I've included some for you.  I regret that not everyone could have been here with us.

Journey to Middle Earth - Feature Pyramid at Muttart Conservatory (On Now Until August 16/15)

For all you Hobbit, Lord of the Rings and J. R. Tolkien enthusiasts, there's a feature at the Muttart Conservatory you don't want to miss.  But in case you do, here's a peak at what the many staff members and volunteers have created in honour of Middle Earth, the land of J.R. Tolkien's novels and the subsequent films. 

The feature pyramid changes themes about five times a year.  The next theme will be "Africana" beginning August 22 and running until October 25/15.  It will feature the work of ZimSculpt from Africa.  They are an international award-winning group of sculptors.  The beds will contain plantings from both arid and tropical south-central Africa.  To keep you coming back for more, additional sculptures will be added during the run of this exhibit.

With all the excitement over Putrella blooming again, I forgot to post the photos from the Turkestan Exhibit which coincided the Putrella event.  

Spring flowers were blooming in the pyramids too.
