Flowers of Vancouver
Our son S, who lives in Vancouver, sends me photos from the city and surrounding areas on a regular basis. Since my yard is just greening up, neighbours' trees are just beginning to bloom and the odd tulip has opened up, I really enjoy seeing the flowers. Here's a collage of some of the most recent floral specimens he shared. Cheers!

Dutch Flower Fields
While spring flowers are slow to bloom here in central Alberta, we can enjoy and admire those of others. I've been admiring a magnitude of floral beauty from Vancouver thanks to my son who sends me photos regularly. I really appreciate that in the middle of winter. Cherry trees began blooming in February this year, early for them but what a sight in a beautiful city. Then in the Okanagan valley the apricot trees have been flowering (early April) and that was a thrill to see thanks to another son and his wife who shared photos.
If you're like me, even in the slightest, you can never get enough garden exposure and sometimes you just have to seek it out when your own is just awakening. Today I came across this drone footage of Dutch flower fields and they are too stunning not to share. Enjoy!

Turkish Delight at Muttart Conservatory March 7 - April 12/15
With all the excitement over Putrella blooming again, I forgot to post the photos from the Turkestan Exhibit which coincided the Putrella event.
Spring flowers were blooming in the pyramids too.

Flowers of Spring
Today, after work, I visited Holes Greenhouse at the Enjoy Centre. The cheery blossoms of spring flowering bulbs and plants greeted all, and the scent of fresh soil was better than the finest perfumes. There's nothing like a visit to the greenhouse in the spring to brighten your mood.
I am popping on over to visit Mary at the Little Red House for Mosaic Monday. Won't you come on over?
