Watery Wednesday - Cypress Swamp Mississippi

 Cypress Swamp, Mississippi

If you look close you can see a faint reflection of the cypress in the water despite this sludge/algae.

My son Tyler just returned from Mississippi/Louisiana.
These photos were taken September 28, 2010 in a Cypress Swamp in Mississippi.

It looks quite boggy here, probably not a place you would want to walk too close to. I love the soft green colours and the reflections in the photo!

Mmmmmmmmmm, pretty the cypress trees are...but I can't help but feel the gators and water moccasins are waiting for me!!!

My watery photos are shrimp boats coming in and a sailboat going out. Do stop by if you get a chance.

Great shots!
That's strange how those trees can grow with their feet in the water!

Now that's a sight we have through out Florida. It can look quite mysterious.

Hi Shirley,
just had a great wander through your blog and loved it, particularly the swamp shot.
