It's Official: I Am TIRED of Winter!!! My Little Rant.

I took the dogs to the groomers today.  Lilo had puppies eight weeks ago and was desperate for a trim.  It's amazing how the fur of a Maltese can get so tangled when subjected to three puppies!  Poor little mom.  So both she and the dad, Stitch, went in today.  Upon leaving, as the groomer and I are discussing the weather (we all discuss the weather.  It's a common grievance, right?), I was informed that Environment Canada stated that we will be in for an unusually cool March, April and May!  Well, if that didn't leave me a little disgruntled!  After dropping off the pooches, I ran a few errands and it's snowing.  Not just a light dusting either!  No.  Before leaving each place I had to clean the entire car of snow!  I'd finish the back and come around to the front and voila!  It looked as though I hadn't done anything at all!  Agh!!

Ok.  Dogs are home.  We are warm and we've decided to keep the dogs' jackets on them for a bit!  The sun has decided to come out!  Yay!  Then I remembered a cute photo I saw on the news this morning!  It cheered me and now, after perusing for more like-minded material, I can actually offer a grin!!  So here's some little pick-me-ups for you!  If your winter is at all like ours here in Edmonton, Alberta, you will appreciate these!

Funny! Or it would be funny if it weren't so sad. I wonder if that Environment Canada prediction was for ALL of Canada...or just for Edmonton. I'm voting for just Edmonton. :))

I have no idea if it was intended for Edmonton or all of Canada. But why not share the misery? ;) Unless you want to get away from it all, then we ought to have a few places, maybe Edmonton and Vancouver that are exempt! What do you think :-}

Yes that sure looks like winter too me. Makes me a tad homesick for snow. Thanks for your kind comments on my post earlier.

Shirley dear, why do we live where we liv? Sometimes I ponder this as most of us complain about the weather, either it is too cold or too hot, too wet or too dry some have cyclones or hurricanes, some have floods, others fires. We all have stormy weather and have to cope with the elements. In Edmonton you have the climate that comes down from the Arctic, constricted by the Rockies and the warmer East Coast. In effect, you don't even get the Continental climate but a microclimate that is even colder. People in Florida get hurricanes and and swelter in humid heat in the summer.

Somewhere with all this we still endure and muddle through and are enchanted when our roses bloom.

Spring will come, it is only a question of WHEN???

Meanwhile, all I can do is send you my love to keep you warm . . . Arija
