First Snow

7AM - dark and cloudy
7:45 AM - this is what I saw when I looked outside.  Our first snow of the season!
It's just a dusting, really.  Yesterday I was photographing the fallen maple and aspen leaves, today snow.  If you look close you can see a red maple leaf sitting on the wrought iron chair where it had gracefully fallen.

9:39 AM - rain
So the forecast was right.  Rain snow mix. Well, we do need the moisture!  Have a great Sunday everyone and to those of you out on the roads, please take extra caution and drive safe.

Oh, snow already...is this early for you? I hope it holds off around here for a while yet. The red maple leaf surely does stand out, your garden is so beautiful!

Oh, how sad. Snow already. Yesterday, I thought I saw a few flurries, not sure if I did, but it would not be so unlikely here in the north.

Shirley, that is the kind of "Snow Storm' we get in my area of Georgia, every few years or so. Believe it or not they close scools for this. Of course it it usually gone the next day.

Nooooooooo Not yet!
Of course, I well remember the snow-in-August-and-June year we had when we lived in Cold Lake!

We've had snow here too but Toronto (half and hour south) has NOT.

We received more snow off and on Monday and part of the day Tuesday so there is a greater accumulation now. Roads are clear this afternoon but were dangerously icy this morning.
