Rob Sproule recently wrote an excellent article about steps we can take to keep mice from making our home theirs during the winter. Some of his tips include:
Tramp down the snow around the perimeter of your house so they cannot tunnel through it.
Don't put thick mulch near the foundation of your home as mice love to overwinter in it.

Great advice. I hate rodents all year and all of them. Anything to keep them away is a bonus.
