Mosiac Monday: Fall Colour Project

We spent Canadian Thanksgiving in southern Alberta visiting family, attending a wedding reception, and soaking up the beauty of the Rocky Mountains in Waterton Lakes National Park.  It was the best Thanksgiving that I can recall, sharing the holiday with precious loved ones.  Today I am celebrating the beauty of autumn, sharing some of my favourite autumn nature photos in this mosaic, and joining Mary at Little Red House for Mosaic Monday.

It has been  years since I had the pleasure of a visit to Waterton Lakes National Park in southwest Alberta and I have to say, as we drove through the entrance gate and into the townsite, I sighed with joy.  It felt like going home!  How I have missed the mountains!!  I am including a few snapshots so you can see the grand beauty of my favourite Alberta mountainous park.  Enjoy!

Keep Mice at Bay Through the Winter

Rob Sproule recently wrote an excellent article about steps we can take to keep mice from making our home theirs during the winter.  Some of his tips include:

Tramp down the snow around the perimeter of your house so they cannot tunnel through it.

Don't put thick mulch near the foundation of your home as mice love to overwinter in it.

Nature's Fall Kaleidoscope
