Autumn is Losing Her Rich Golden Store

"The flowers are fading, the trees getting bare,
And thin frosty vapours are chilling the air,
For nature is losing her mantle of green,
And now in a rusty-brown robe may be seen.
The beauties of summer are faded and past,
And the sweet, balmy breeze is exchanged for the blast,
And Autumn is losing her rich golden store,
And Winter, grim Winter, is coming once more..."

Autumn is so dependent on elevation where I live - it's basically finished at my house, but the lower elevations still have some color. Anyway, nice shots, that first one very much looks like winter is ready to move in.

i love the composition of the first photos, and love the colors of the 2nd photo. We are living in an autumnless and winterless patch of the earth.

Much as I appreciate the colours of autumn I hate it! Summer's gone and winter is on it's way!
Sorry to be Mr. Doom & Gloom!
