The last few days, when the weather has been nice, flocks of this bird have converged upon the Schubert Chokecherries in my yard and in the neighborhood. They don't stay for long and I have tried a few times previous before being successful with this photo capture. Does anyone know what kind of bird this is? Perhaps Rambling Woods could help me with this?

Hmmm, not sure - but they look so cute!
Gee....how big are they..I can see the white eye band and the spots...hmmm... I will have to think of this one....
They look like some type of thrush to me. Are they still visiting you? I bet they enjoyed your yard goodies during the migration!
Michelle, they are a bit smaller than a robin, maybe the size of a blackbird?
Halcyon, hmm, perhaps they are thrush. They haven't visited recently but my chokecherry has been picked clean! I've never seen this bird here before.
they are starlings. they come in a great number and eat everything, very quickly. for example, they have eaten my grapes from my vineyard in two - three days.
Shirley, they did ruin my crop of grapes, but i wasn't so much interested in it, because i have no time to make wine :))
You can see another picture of one starling, in my very vineyard, on the other blog of mine, in this post: http://antiplictis.blogspot.com/2010/10/gradina-mea-are-vietati.html
Sorry for my English.
