Have you ever seen such a tree? I have no idea what kind it is but I am taken with it. The multi-coloured leaves on this tree really catch the eye. Anyone know what kind of tree this is?
During spring and summer this tree is green. It is only when the weather takes on a hint of fall that it becomes this wondrous kaleidoscope of colour.

Hello, I have no idea what kind of tree this is, but it looks like a rainbow Japanese Maple to me. Looks nice though.
Tony, thanks for the visit. I've never heard of a rainbow Japanese maple. Can you tell me more about it?
I'm not sure what kind of tree it is, unless I see it in person. Of course that won't happen lol. I just took a guess. Sorry if I disappointed you. Now I have to google it myself lol.

Tony,
It's the neighbour's tree around the block. I took a closer look tonight and it definitely is a maple! I looked up rainbow maple on the web but didn't find anything like it. How about you?
Sorry I thought it was yours. I did find one on google sort of, but doesn't look like that one. If you want google japanese maple and see what you think. I tried rainbow first but didn't come up.

I really want to plant a tree like this! If anyone knows what kind of maple this is and where one might be purchased please leave me a message.
I think perhaps a newer cultivar of maple maybe 'Autumn Flame' that has turned its leaves prematurely. Some trees color up like this in the fall. It is quite pretty and will grow bigger if I'm right.
Thanks Tina. I will look into that variety too.
